JOHN “SLIDEWELL” GLIDEWELL The round trip record on Highway 125 om east Springfeild, Missouri to Rueter, Missouri, located at the intersection of Highways 160 and 125, was shattered today. When asked about the new record time, Glidewell, responded, “Hey man, it’s my religion”!

Glidewell is a well known and admired sportbike rider from Sprinfield, Missouri. Many riders have tried to keep him in their sights only to see him returning while they are still going.  He has become a sportbike legend in the Midwest.  Riders have been known to pull off the road just to watch him speed by.  One rider was overheard saying, “That guy is my hero, man, I wish he was my grandpa”.

It is not surprising that the old record was broken by Glidewell.  When asked about the new record by the News-Leader, the former record holder, Cory West, replied, “ I knew that old fart would break it sooner or later”. The new record was over  Five minutes faster than West’s previous record of 1:05:35. “Hey man, it’s my religion”!
